Entering the 20th century technology developed increasingly rapidly and began to be integrated into the world of education. Therefore teachers should utilize technology to support the learning process one way of doing this is by providing innovative learning media. In addition SMK Negeri 2 Malang is one of the vocational high schools that is a center of excellence in Malang City. The school provides Wi-Fi facilities that can be accessed by all school members. Students are also allowed to use smartphones for learning purposes. However problems were found in learning regarding the lack of variety in learning due to the use of uninteresting media as well as students understanding of the history of Malang is quite limited. Based on this this study aims to produce and test the effectiveness of website-based articulate storyline 3 learning media on the material of the colonial era Malang Sugar Industry for class XI KL 2 students of SMK Negeri 2 Malang. The method used is the Sugiyono model research and development method namely (1) potential and problems (2) data collection (3) product design (4) design validation (5) design revision (6) initial trial (7) product revision (8) usage trial (9) product revision (10) mass production. The product of the learning media Articulate Storyline 3 Based on a Website contains contains (1) a menu of button usage instructions (2) a menu of learning achievement and objectives information (3) a menu of material regarding the Malang sugar industry starting from the background description of regional conditions Malang sugar factories impacts and material summaries (4) a quiz menu (5) a reference menu in the form of a glossary and bibliography (6) a developer profile menu. The validation results show that the assessment from media experts obtained a percentage value of 94% while from material experts the percentage value was 82.6%. The results of the initial trial of a small group with 10 students obtained a percentage value of 88.6% and the results of the trial of use of a large group with 26 students obtained a percentage value of 86.3%. Therefore it can be concluded that the website-based articulate storyline 3 learning media is valid highly feasible and effective for use in history learning. This is because the media s development utilizes technology and the material is presented contextually with numerous illustrations making it easy to understand and increasing students interest in history particularly the colonial-era Malang sugar industry.
