Learning that relies on technology such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) diminishes students rsquo initiative to learn and encourages them to choose instant methods for completing assignments. To address this an educator must choose the right learning model and media learning that could inspire students rsquo creativity and initiative is needed. This research seeks to explore the impact of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) on student rsquo s achievement in history. This study employs a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test measures utilizing both experimental and control groups. The sample consisted of 36 students from the experimental class and 36 students from the control class. At the data analysis stage the Independent Samples T-Test was used. The results of the hypothesis test showed sig. 0.399 gt 0.05 so Ho failed to be rejected. The pre-test results in the experimental class were 73.9 and the post-test 80.5. While in the control class the pre-test results were 72.5 and the post-test 78.6. Therefore it rsquo s conclusion that Project Based Learning has an effect when viewed from the students questions before and after being given the influence of the PjBL learning model but when compared to the control class using the mixed learning model (discussion and lecture) it known to have no effect
