Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of self-efficacy and self-expectations on the readiness to become accounting teachers of final-semester students in the Accounting Education Study Program State University of Malang. This study uses Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT) as a reference to understand how self- efficacy and outcome expectations influence students readiness to become accounting teachers. The subjects of this study were accounting education students State University of Malang class of 2020-2022 with a sample of 165 students drawn through simple random sampling. The type of data source is primary data obtained directly from students using a questionnaire instrument. The results show that self-efficacy has a significant positive effect on readiness to become teachers. Outcome expectations have a significant positive effect on readiness to become teachers.
