The development of social media has brought significant changes in communication patterns especially among fans of celebrities. Wang Xing Yue a popular artist from China has an active fan community on Weibo that frequently uses slang in their interactions. This study aims to identify and classify the slang vocabulary used by Wang Xing Yue rsquo s fans as well as analyze the meanings behind its usage in online communication. The method employed is qualitative descriptive using data in the form of sentences from fan comments on Wang Xing Yue rsquo s Weibo account collected during the period from January to August 2024. The analysis results reveal a significant development in the types and functions of slang words used. Slang not only reflects group identity but also serves as a means to express emotions and strengthen social bonds among members of the fan community. This study provides a deeper understanding of the dynamics of language use in online communities and shows how slang has become an important part of contemporary digital communication culture.
