Abstract

This study aims to identify the implementation of the flipped classroom strategy in elementary school students evaluate the level of student learning independence and analyze the relationship between flipped classroom aspects and learning independence. The research method used is mixed methods which is a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches. A qualitative approach was used to gain an in-depth understanding of the implementation of flipped classroom through interviews observations and documentation while a quantitative approach was used to measure the relationship and level of student learning independence through instruments in the form of questionnaires or questionnaires aimed at 42 students as respondents. The results show that flipped classrooms provide space for students to learn flexibly encourage active involvement in class discussions and strengthen the role of teachers as facilitators who accompany the learning process in a more personal and meaningful way. The level of learning independence is quite good with an average score of 103.5. The highest percentage was in the aspect of value independence which was 88% while the lowest percentage was found in the aspect of emotional independence which was 77%. In general most students show awareness of moral values learning motivation that comes from within being able to show initiative in seeking information independently and have the ability to make decisions independently. The results of the correlation test showed that of the four aspects of FLIP only the flexible environment and learning culture aspects had a significant and positive relationship. Meanwhile the aspects of intentional content and professional educators did not show a significant relationship.
