p This study aims to model the trend of semester grade point average for 2020 class of mathematics students based on their admission pathways. This descriptive quantitative study uses secondary data from the Academic Information System (SIAKAD) covering 85 students from three admission pathways SNMPTN SBMPTN and Mandiri. Based on these admission pathways 1st to 4th order polynomial modeling was applied to the GPA data for semesters 1-5 using R Studio software. Model evaluation was carried out based on the Sum of Squared Error (SSE) Maximum Squared Error (MaxSE) Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and Maximum Absolute Error (MaxAE) values. The SNMPTN pathway had the highest average (3.62) followed by SBMPTN (3.58) and Mandiri (3.55). The results showed a downward trend in GPA in semester 2 and an increase in the following semester which was consistent across all admission pathways. The 4th-order polynomial model was selected as the best model based on the lowest error value for each admission pathway. This model successfully describes the fluctuation pattern of student academic achievement and can be used as additional consideration in academic planning. /p
