Abstract

p The rise of news on social media about divorce infidelity and domestic violence experienced by artists and ordinary people who share their experiences. The wave of information about the bitterness of married life has an impact on individuals who receive this information or message. One of the impacts of this wave of information is a change in individual attitudes in viewing a married life. This study seeks to determine the effect of exposure to social media content related to marital conflict on attitude toward marriage in early adulthood. The hypothesis in this study is that exposure to social media content related to marital conflict has a significant influence on attitude toward marriage. The measuring instruments used are the Social Media Content Exposure Measurement Scale and the General Attitude Toward Marriage (GAMS). The method used in this research is quantitative correlation with simple linear regression analysis technique. Respondents used in this study were 385 young adult individuals. The results of this study indicate that exposure to social media content related to marital conflict has a negative influence on attitude toward marriage ( szlig -.097 p lt 0.05). /p
