p Smoking is a behavior that can have a detrimental impact on every individual who does it. Smoking causes various kinds of bad effects on the human body. Carbon monoxide contained in cigarettes is very dangerous for health. Teenagers are the most dominant group of smokers with a prevalence of 56.5% in Indonesia and 24.56% in Batu City. There are 4 000 chemicals contained in each cigarette and some have toxic or poisonous properties including carbon monoxide (CO) gas. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between smoking duration smoking frequency and the type of cigarette used to carbon monoxide (CO) levels in adolescent high school smokers in Batu City based on the Batu City smoking screening report in 2023. This research is categorized as quantitative research through a cross-sectional approach with an observational analytic design. The purposive sampling technique was used in sampling 154 students. The data analysis process used binary logistic regression and multivariate binary logistic regression tests. The results showed that 2 independent variables smoking duration (X1) and smoking frequency (X2) had a significant relationship with carbon monoxide (CO) levels. /p
