p The current world of work demands that college graduates possess not only academic competencies but also soft skills. The gap between the soft skills acquired during college and the demands of the workplace remains a serious issue in higher education. This often leads to graduates being deemed unprepared by industry particularly in terms of data analysis professional ethics and negotiation skills. Undergraduate Management students at a university in Malang City also experience a similar phenomenon where the soft skills acquired in college are not fully able to meet the expectations of the workplace especially during internship programs. This study aims to analyze the gap between the soft skills acquired by students during college and the competencies required by the workplace during internship programs. The method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through surveys interviews and documentation. The results show that there are several soft skills competencies that are widely acquired by students during college such as critical thinking creativity and teamwork. However there is a gap in competencies required by the workplace such as data analysis problem-solving negotiation and professional ethics. Internship programs contribute to competency improvement but have not significantly closed the gap. This study recommends strengthening the practice-based curriculum and optimizing internship programs that are appropriate to students fields of study. /p
