p This study was conducted to evaluate the extent to which organizational justice and job characteristics contribute to employee engagement at the Geprek Kak Rose fast food company. A quantitative approach was used with multiple linear regression analysis techniques to determine the extent to which employee perceptions of fairness and job design influence their level of engagement at work. Descriptive results indicate that employee engagement is in the good category but the vigor and absorption dimensions are still relatively low this is due to the type of work where most employees work as part-time workers and not their primary job. Perceptions of organizational justice are also quite positive especially in the informational and interactional justice dimensions although distributive justice shows the lowest score. Meanwhile job characteristics are perceived well with task significance as the strongest dimension and feedback as the lowest dimension. Statistical analysis shows that both organizational justice and job characteristics are proven to have a positive and significant influence on length of service. Moreover this variable shows a more dominant influence than organizational justice emphasizing the importance of meaningful varied and structured work roles in increasing work engagement. These findings provide practical implications for fast food service organizations to improve role clarity feedback systems and maintain the quality of fair and open communication that has been well established. This research contributes to the understanding of work engagement and serves as a reference in developing human resource management strategies in the service industry with a dynamic work environment particularly in the food and beverage industry. /p
