This study investigated Javanese memes circulating on the Twitter platform emphasizing their linguistic characteristics and sociocultural implications. The data was analyzed using Kostadinovska-Stojchevska s (2018) findings on memes sociolinguistic features and Zidjaly rsquo s (2019) findings on digital community development. The study explored linguistic features such as neologism wordplay puns linguistic fusion language variation and intentional and unintentional lexical or syntax mistakes to uncover how these elements contribute to the humor creativity and cultural richness of Javanese memes. It also investigated several Twitter accounts such as jowoshitpost and jawafess to understand their role in shaping online discourse and community interactions. Through a descriptive-qualitative approach grounded in the directed qualitative content analysis (DQICA) method the study discovered that Javanese memes were the product of creative humor innovation based on linguistic features in the Javanese language and culture. Additionally the emergence of Javanese memes fostered digital communities and stimulated discourses surrounding Javanese culture on Twitter. The future implication of this study suggested a need for further research to investigate the potential racial undertones within these Javanese memes employing critical discourse analysis (CDA) as a methodological framework.
