Studies on Intercultural Citizenship (IC) have insofar explored IC implementation and students rsquo perspectives situated in a bilateral context yet investigations on the learning process focusing on students rsquo real action (civic engagement) mediated by digital multimodal products (poster composing and poster campaign) addressing real-life issues in underexplored and underrepresented context (Indonesia) in partnership with several tandem partners is still scant. Also studies on zooming in on students rsquo perception of IC-laden instruction facilitated their oral presentation skills in telecollaboration received inadequate attention. This research portrayed the telecollaboration experience in an EFL classroom in Indonesia between Indonesian upper high school students and their tandem partners from Armenia India Myanmar Malaysia and Russia. These groups of learners discussed bullying mental health and environmental issues in 2023 focusing on Indonesian students as the study participants. Methodologically this telecollaboration research adhered to a case study. Data were gleaned from documentary data (students rsquo weekly reflection classroom observation students rsquo composed posters and interviews) and conversational data (online communication between Indonesian students with their tandem partners students using Zoom and WhatsApp). Furthermore they perceived betterment in their oral presentation skills such as topic mastery and understanding vocabulary stock pronunciation body language and eye contact and grammar/structure use. The study calls for further exploration to portray similar social issues such as injustice marginalization gender equity poverty and other conflicting or controversial topics utilizing longitudinal classroom observation framed in action research ethnography and experimental research designs involving the tandem partners from abroad to provide empirical evidence. Also an investigation on how IC-based instruction could enhance students rsquo other language skills and components situated in telecollaboration settings should be conducted.
