Abstract
Abstrak: Chinese language extracurricular students in 11th Grade at Almaarif Singosari Islamic High School do not understand how to write Chinese characters 汉字[hànzì] in the correct order of the forms of the hànzì. The research aims to describe the use of learning video media "Li Lao Shi" to practice writing hànzì skill and describe the responses of Chinese extracurricular 11th Grade students to the use of learning video media "Li Lao Shi". The research method is descriptive qualitative. This study used instruments in the form of observation sheets and questionnaires. Based on the results of observations, it can be seen that learning activities run smoothly in accordance with steps in RPP (Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran/Learning Implementation Plan). The learning video "Li Lao Shi" can be used to practice hànzì writing skill, because from the results of the exercise, it can be seen that most students can write hànzì correctly in the order of the forms of the hànzì. According to students, the learning video "Li Lao Shi" has an interesting display of animation and pictures, besides that the sound and pronunciation of Chinese are heard clearly so that students can understand the material contained in the video properly.
