Abstract

This study aims to investigate and determine the level of students perceived effectiveness in vocabulary mastery on playing Genshin Impact game. This research uses a survey research design with a quantitative approach and uses descriptive statistics for data analysis. The research population targeted 8th graders of junior high school from 6 parallel classes of SMPN 1 Singosari 8A-8F who play Genshin Impact game for at least 1-2 hours daily or more. The instrument used is open-ended and close-ended questionnaire. The research concludes that there are three categories of perceived effectiveness in vocabulary mastery on playing Genshin Impact game. There are no respondents who fall into the low category 35% of respondents were in the medium category and 65% were in the high category. In summary most of the respondents believed that Genshin Impact game does have a contribution and is effective in improving their vocabulary mastery.
