This study is an innovation and development of a flashcard in learning English vocabulary to improve the student rsquo s learning motivation and English vocabulary acquisition. In this study the researcher added board features and word-to-word games to adapt the learning media specifications according to the needs of third grade students. The objective of this study is to develop the prototype of picture-to-word and word-to-word based game in vocabulary mastery to be used in the third graders as the learning media with the appropriate specifications. This research uses the ASSURE model in its development which consists of six stages (1) Learner analysis (2) Statement of objectives (3) Selection of methods media and materials (4) Utilization of media and materials (5) Learner involvement and (6) Evaluation and revision. The result showed that the Evo game was validated and qualified as learning media with appropriate specifications. The total score from the expert validators is 87% with partial revision based on the comments and suggestions. The development of the ldquo Evo rdquo game successfully addressed these challenges by improving student participation and comprehension. Thus this game can be used as a creative and effective learning approach to improve the quality of English language learning at the primary school level.
