Advisors (1) Dr. Mirjam Anugerahwati M.A (2) Nunung Suryati M.Ed. Ph.D. Keywords ICT narrative inquiry. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) significance has been identified broadly in education. Indonesia is completely aware of ICT rsquo s importance in enhancing the pedagogical system using multimedia and the Internet. Additionally some numerous schools and universities have allocated vast amounts of funds to provide colleges and universities with ICT equipment. Several research on ICT integration were completed concerning numerous elements which include adoption the undertaking in integrating it into the pedagogical process and the type of ICT equipment used for teaching. The ICT integration relies a lot on the lecturers eagerness. The principal goal of ICT integration is to assist students in developing their capability to operate control and comprehend ICT. To acquire this the lecturers should be well-planned and proficient in ICT. Lecturers need to be geared up in conditions of ICT competencies to face their college students who are basically digital natives and are typically at ease with the use of ICT devices. The present study is conducted to discover what kinds of ICT lecturers use and what factors affect ICT use. The present study utilizes narrative inquiry to explore participants stories and experiences. By utilizing narrative inquiry the researcher can shed light on the meaning of personal stories and events. Narrative research provides deep understanding it fosters the researcher s understanding of their participants as it offers possibilities for the researcher to view and understand the participants differently. Thematic analysis is adopted in this study to find the theme or pattern behind what kinds of ICT lecturers use and what factors affect ICT use. The participants of this study are English lecturers who teach in universities in East Java. There are four participants with different backgrounds of education cultural background etc. The study revealed several themes regarding each research question. The first research question is what kinds of technology lecturers of English used in teaching English using ICT. The themes that arose in findings related to the first research question are the lecturers use of web-based and non-web-based ICT. The second research question is what factors affect ICT use in lecturers teaching and learning process. The theme that emerged from the data are lecturers rsquo pedagogical belief attitudes toward ICT perceived usefulness ease of use subjective norms self-efficacy and professional development.
