Abstract The objective of this study is to explore the students rsquo perception towards Internet-based English learning and how the students rsquo use of the Internet for learning English. This study was survey research and conducted from July 2nd until July 8th 2020. The subjects of this study were 95 students of MAN 1 Malang. This study used online questionnaire to collect the data. The questionnaire consists of 19 questions that deal with students rsquo perceptions toward Internet-based English learning and how the students rsquo use of the Internet for learning English 12 close ended questions and 7 open ended questions. The data were analyzed by using percentages. Then it was interpreted and discussed the result of this study by comparing the findings and the theories. The result of this study showed that the respondents agree and strongly agree towards Internet-based English learning. Then the students have a high frequency of accessing the Internet to improve their vocabulary listening skill writing skill and pronunciation since they have fun interactive and communicative activities that are provided by the platform and a helping hand of their teacher. Last the most applications or websites that are mentioned by students to improve their English skills and language components is social media platform in which YouTube is the highest social media platform that is mentioned by the students.
