The purpose of this study was to create a vocabulary learning media called Spinning Wheel Game to assist students particularly 8th-grade junior high school students in practicing giving suggestions in English. This research employs a seven-step Research and Development (R amp D) research design which includes 1) need analysis 2) product development 3) expert validation 4) product revision 5) product try-out 6) final product revision and 7) final product. The developed product combines visuals and realia grouping words and giving context in teaching vocabulary. In the development of the game it follows the concept of metaphor CALL and gamification. The final product development includes a lesson package and a game that requires students to follow directions interpret or pronounce words and practice forming a phrase or offering suggestions using a selected word. In addition the product try-out demonstrates that the product can help students acquire English vocabulary and is judged acceptable for usage by the subjects of this study.
