Pembimbing (I) Dr. Muakibatul Hasanah M.Pd (II) Drs. Darmono M.Si. Kata Kunci pemanfaatan koleksi khusus Bung Karno Koleksi khusus Bung Karno merupakan koleksi yang berkaitan dengan Bung Karno. Koleksi khusus Bung Karno perlu diteliti pemanfaatannya karena koleksi ini merupakan fokus utama pada perpustakaan tersebut namun pengunjung ruang koleksi khusus sangat sedikit. Tujuan penelitian skripsi ini untuk mendeskripsikan (a) tingkat pemanfaatan koleksi khusus Bung Karno di UPT Perpustakaan Proklamator Bung Karno (b) latar belakang pemustaka yang memanfaatkan koleksi khusus Bung Karno di UPT Perpustakaan Proklamator Bung Karno dan (c) faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi tingkat pemanfaatan koleksi khusus Bung Karno di UPT Perpustakaan Proklamator Bung Karno. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pengunjung perpustakaan dengan mengambil sampel secara insidental (kebetulan). Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket dan pedoman wawancara. Kegiatan analisis data yaitu editing mengelompokkan data berdasarkan rumusan masalah dan tabulasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh tiga simpulan sebagai berikut. Pertama tingkat pemanfaatan koleksi khusus Bung Karno masih rendah. Intensitas kunjungan ke bagian koleksi khusus masih jarang (74%). Frekuensi penggunaan koleksi khusus Bung Karno 1-2 kali dalam satu bulan (81%) dengan waktu yang digunakan selama 1-2 jam (55%). Alasan responden tidak memanfaatkan karena tidak tahu letak koleksi khusus dan informasi yang dicari tidak ada di koleksi khusus (34%). Kedua latar belakang pemustaka yang memanfaatkan koleksi khusus Bung Karno lebih dari setengah responden adalah perempuan sisanya laki-laki. Sebagian besar responden (94%) berumur 14-29 tahun sisanya berumur 30-60 tahun. Lebih dari setengah responden (52%) memiliki pendidikan SMA sisanya S1 dan SMP. Dilihat dari status pekerjaan lebih dari setengah responden (55%) masih pelajar sisanya mahasiswa guru/dosen pekerjaan lainnya dan pegawai. Sebagian besar responden (84%) berasal dari daerah Blitar sisanya dari luar Blitar. Lebih dari setengah responden (58%) merupakan anggota perpustakaan sisanya non anggota perpustakaan. Ketiga faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi tingkat pemanfaatan koleksi khusus Bung Karno yaitu faktor internal (kebutuhan motif dan minat) dan faktor eksternal (kelengkapan koleksi keterampilan pustakawan dalam melayani dan ketersediaan fasilitas). Faktor internal yang memengaruhi pemanfaatan koleksi khusus Bung Karno faktor kebutuhan kurang dari setengah responden (34%) memanfaatkan koleksi khusus Bung Karno untuk kebutuhan menambah pengetahuan pada bidang tertentu sisanya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan lainnya faktor motif pemanfaatan lebih dari setengah responden (53%) bermotif untuk mengerjakan tugas sekolah/kuliah sisanya untuk mengisi waktu luang tertarik dengan isi yang disajikan dan penelitian faktor minat pemanfaatan sebagian kecil responden (24%) berminat pada subjek sejarah sisanya biografi Bung Karno abstrak jurnalisme pepatah ilmu sosial (politik dan ekonomi) agama dan kesusasteraan. Faktor alasan kurang dari setengah responden (45%) memilih subjek yang diminati karena terkait dengan tugas yang sedang dikerjakan sisanya untuk menambah ilmu pengetahuan mengetahui lebih dalam tentang Bung Karno dan sekadar membaca untuk mengisi waktu luang. Faktor cara pemanfaatan setengah responden (50%) memanfaatkan koleksi dengan cara mencatat informasi di dalamnya sisanya membaca di tempat dan berdiskusi. Faktor eksternal yang memengaruhi pemanfaatan koleksi khusus Bung Karno lebih dari setengah responden memberikan respon baik pada kelengkapan koleksi khusus dengan rata-rata 67 25% keterampilan pustakawan dalam melayani dengan rata-rata 54% dan ketersediaan fasilitas dengan rata-rata 55 5%. Berdasarkan kesimpulan tersebut maka diberikan saran kepada pustakawan dan pengelola perpustakaan. Kepada pustakawan disarankan agar (1) lebih sering melakukan promosi koleksi khusus Bung Karno ke daerah Blitar maupun luar Blitar terutama ke lembaga pendidikan agar koleksi khusus Bung Karno lebih dikenal masyarakat luas (2) memberikan bimbingan pemustaka kepada anggota maupun non anggota perpustakaan (3) meningkatkan pelayanan yang diberikan kepada pengunjung perpustakaan. Kepada pengelola disarankan agar menyediakan koleksi khusus yang dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat seperti subjek sejarah karena paling banyak diminati. ABSTRACT Putri Iva Yuana. 2017. Special collection of Bung Karno needs to be explored utilization because this collection is the main focus on the library but visitors to the special collection room is very little. The purpose of this thesis research is to describe (a) the level of utilization of special collection of Bung Karno at UPT of Bung Karno Proclamator Library (b) background of the user who utilizes special collection of Bung Karno at UPT Library of Bung Karno Proclamator and (c) influencing factors The level of utilization of special collection of Bung Karno at UPT Library Proklamator Bung Karno. This research uses quantitative research type with descriptive method. The population in this study is all library visitors by taking samples incidentally (accidental). The instruments used were questionnaires and interview guidelines. Data analysis activities are editing grouping data based on problem formulation and tabulation. Based on the results of data analysis obtained three conclusions as follows. First the utilization rate of Bung Karno s special collection is still low. The intensity of visits to special collection sections is still rare (74%). Frequency of use of special collection of Bung Karno 1-2 times in one month (81%) with time spent for 1-2 hours (55%). The reason the respondent did not take advantage because did not know where the special collection and the information sought not in the special collection (34%). Second the background of the librarians who use the special collection of Bung Karno more than half of the respondents are women the rest men. Most of the respondents (94%) were 14-29 years old the rest were 30-60 years old. More than half of respondents (52%) have high school education the remaining S1 and junior high. Judging from the employment status more than half of respondents (55%) are still students the rest are students teachers / lecturers other jobs and employees. Most respondents (84%) are from Blitar area the rest are from outside Blitar. More than half of respondents (58%) are members of the library the rest are non-library members. Third factors influencing the utilization rate of Bung Karno s special collection are internal factors (needs motives and interests) and external factors (completeness of collection librarian skills in service and availability of facilities). Internal factors affecting the utilization of Bung Karno s special collection the need factor less than half of respondents (34%) utilize the special collection of Bung Karno for the need to increase knowledge in certain fields the rest to meet other needs Use motivation factor more than half of respondents (53%) are motivated to do school / college assignments the rest to fill the spare time interested in the content presented and research (24%) are interested in the subject of history the rest of Bung Karno s biography abstract journalism proverb social science (political and economic) religion and literature. Factor reason less than half of respondents (45%) choose the subject of interest because it is related to the task being done the rest to add knowledge know more about Bung Karno and simply read to fill the spare time. Factor of utilization method half of respondents (50%) use the collection by recording the information in it the rest read in place and discuss. External factors affecting the utilization of Bung Karno s special collection more than half of respondents respond favorably to the completeness of special collections with an average of 67.25% librarianship skills in service with an average of 54% and availability of facilities with an average of 55 5%. Based on these conclusions it is suggested to the librarian and library manager. To librarians it is advisable that (1) more often promote Bung Karno s special collection to Blitar or outside Blitar especially to educational institutions so that the special collection of Bung Karno is better known to the public (2) provide guidance to members and non library members 3) improve the services provided to library visitors. To the manager is recommended to provide a special collection needed by the community such as the subject of history because of the greatest interest.
