Kata kunci pemanfaatan koleksi e-journal perpustakaan perguruan tinggi Kebutuhan informasi bagi mahasiswa di perpustakaan dapat diperoleh melalui koleksi yang disediakan oleh perpustakaan. Salah satu koleksi yang cukup populer digunakan di perpustakaan perguruan tinggi adalah jurnal. E-journal banyak dimanfaatkan oleh mahasiswa karena kemutakhiran terbitan dan kemudahannya untuk diakses. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (a) ketersediaan koleksi e-journal di Perpustakaan Universitas Ma Chung (b) relevansi koleksi e-journal dengan kebutuhan informasi mahasiswa (c) pemanfaatan koleksi e-journal di perpustakaan Universitas Ma Chung dan (d) kendala dalam pemanfaatan koleksi e-journal di Perpustakaan Universitas Ma Chung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik angket wawancara dokumentasi dan observasi. Analisis data dimulai dengan tahap penyuntingan perhitungan dan display atau penyajian data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama ketersediaan koleksi e-journal di Perpustakaan Universitas Ma Chung lengkap dan mutakhir. Berdasarkan macam-macam koleksi e-journalnya e-journal di perpustakaan dapat dibagi menjadi 5 yakni e-journal yang dilanggan perpustakaan e-journal FPPTI e-journal DIKTI e-journal OPEN ACCESS dan INTERLIBRARY. Kedua relevansi koleksi e-journal di Perpustakaan Universitas Ma Chung disimpulkan bahwa koleksi e-journal di perpustakaan relevan atau sesuai dengan kebutuhan informasi mahasiswa program studi yang ada di Universitas Ma Chung. Ketiga pemanfaatan koleksi e-journal oleh mahasiswa di Perpustakaan Universitas Ma Chung disimpulkan bahwa hampir setengah pemustaka memilih PROQUEST sebagai e-journal yang sering diakses di perpustakaan selain itu tujuan pemustaka mengakses e-journal di perpustakaan adalah mengerjakan tugas kuliah. Rata-rata kunjungan pemustaka pada layanan e-journal di perpustakaan adalah 2-3 kali dalam satu bulan dan rata-rata e-journal yang mereka unduh dalam sekali akses adalah 1-3 jurnal. Keempat kendala dalam pemanfaatan koleksi e-journal di Perpustakaan Universitas Ma Chung disimpulkan bahwa kendala dalam pemanfaatan meliputi (a) kendala terkait dengan penyebaran informasi adanya e-journal di perpustakaan yakni kurangnya sumber daya manusia di perpustakaan khususnya pada layanan e-journal yang menyebabkan penyebaran informasi adanya e-journal di perpustakaan kurang (b) kendala karena harga e-journal yang mahal sehingga menghambat dalam pengadaan koleksi e-journal di perpustakaan dan (c) kendala dalam menggunakan e-journal yaitu adanya username dan password menyulitkan pemustaka dalam mengakses e-journal di perpustakaan. Keyword collection utilization e-journal university library Information needs for students in the library may be obtained through the collection provided by the library. One of the most popular collections to use in the College Library is journal. E-journal widely used by students because of easy access as well as publications that are always up to date. This research aims to describe (a) the availability of the e-journal collection in University Library of Ma Chung (b) the relevance of e-journal collection with the information needs of college students and (d) constraints in utilizing the e-journal collection in University Library of Ma Chung. This research uses descriptive research method. Data collection is done using an question form interview observation and documentation. Data analysis begins with the stage of editing calculation and display or presentation of data. The results showed that first the availability of the e-journal collection in University Library of Ma Chung is complete and up-to-date. Based on the type of collection e-journal e-journal in the library can be divided into 5 namely subcribe e-journal by library FPPTI e-journal DIKTI e-journal OPEN ACCESS e-journal and INTERLBRARY. Second the relevance of e-journal collection in University Library of Ma Chung it was concluded that the e-journal collections in the library is relevant or in accordance with the relevant student information needs existing courses at the University of Ma Chung. Third the utilization of e-journal collections by students at the University Library of Ma Chung it was concluded that almost half the users choose the PROQUEST as e-journal that is often accessed in libraries in addition the purpose of the user accessing the e-journal in the library is working on a coursework. The average user visits on e-journal service in the library is the 2-3 times in one month and the average e-journal they download in once access is 1-3 journal. Fourth the constraints in the utilization of e-journal collection in University Library of Ma Chung concluded that obstacles in the utilization of include (a) constraints related to dissemination of information the existence of e-journal in the library namely the lack of human resources in the library specifically on e-journal service that caused the spread of information the existence of e-journal in the library is less (b) constraints because the price of the e-journal that expensive so inhibit the procurement e-journal collections in the library and (c) constraints in using e-journal that is the presence of troublesome users username and password to access the e-journal in the library.
