Iklan web series AXE ÔÇ£AXElerate The SeriesÔÇØ menjadi viral di tahun 2016 dengan menempati posisi 10 besar YouTube Ads Leaderboard 2016 dan campaignasia.com. Penelitian ini memetakan teknik sinematografi komposisi types of shots dasar seperti Extreme Close Up, Close Up, Medium Close Up, Medium Shot, Medium Long Shot dan Extreme Long Shot dan konteks naratif pada setiap shot yang di bangun, dengan tujuan pembaca mengerti arti pentingnya sebuah types of shots dalam membangun suasana dan emosi pada ÔÇ£AXElerate The SeriesÔÇØ, juga bagaimana ÔÇ£AXElerate The SeriesÔÇØ memaparkan produk parfume AXE. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan peneliti sebagai instrumen kunci. Data primer pada penelitian ini adalah data visual dari iklan web series AXE ÔÇ£AXElerate The SeriesÔÇØ: The Untold Story dari episode satu hingga sepuluh. Data sekunder dalam penelitian ini meliputi wawancara editor dalam proses creative hingga hasil akhir. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah dengan mengumpulkan data visual pada iklan web series AXE ÔÇ£AXElerate The SeriesÔÇØ meliputi types of shots dasar seperti Extreme Close Up, Close Up, Medium Close Up, Medium Shot, Medium Long Shot dan Extreme Long Shot pada setiap episode dan di kelompokan berdasarkan scene. Scene digunakan untuk memudahkan peneliti memaparkan berbagai komposisi types of shots yang digunakan, dimana nantinya types of shots di paparkan dalam bentuk tabel sebagai pedoman untuk pembahasan konteks naratifnya. Iklan web series diputar secara berulang-ulang pada setiap episode, setiap scene, hingga setiap shotnya, sehingga penulis dapat mengumpulkan data yang akurat. Penelitian ini menggunakan peningkatan ketekunan sebagai cara untuk menguji atau mengecek keabsahan data yang didapat selama pengamatan. Dari hasil pemetaan data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa tidak semua dari 7 types of shots dasar digunakan pada setiap episode ÔÇ£AXElerate The SeriesÔÇØ. Juga ditemukan pola bahwa ÔÇ£AXElerate The SeriesÔÇØ menggunakan extreme long shot pada setiap awal episode kemunculan brand ambassador. Types of shots yang paling banyak di gunakan pada ÔÇ£AXElerate The SeriesÔÇØ adalah medium shot. Penerapan medium shot yang di dominankan juga di terapkan pada product placement, menjadikan iklan web series AXE pada ÔÇ£AXElerate the seriesÔÇØ menjual produk dengan pendekatan soft selling. AXE web series ads ÔÇ£AXElerate The SeriesÔÇØ became viral in 2016 by occupying the top 10 of the YouTube Ads Leaderboard 2016 and campaignasia.com. This research mapped of cinematographic techniques of basic type of shot composition such as Extreme Close Up, Close Up, Medium Close Up, Medium Shot, Medium Long Shot and Extreme Long Shot and narrative context on each shot built, in order to make the reader understand the importance of a type of shots in building atmosphere and emotion on ÔÇ£AXElerate The SeriesÔÇØ, as well as how ÔÇ£AXElerate The SeriesÔÇØ exposes AXEÔÇÖs perfume product. This research is descriptive research with researcher as the key instrument. The primary data in this study is the visual data from the AXE series ÔÇ£AXElerate The SeriesÔÇØ ads: The Untold Story from episodes one to ten. Secondary data in this research includes interview editor in creative process until final result. Data collection techniques in this study is to collect visual data on the AXE series of web advertisements ÔÇ£AXElerate The SeriesÔÇØ includes basic types of shots such as Extreme Close Up, Close Up, Medium Close Up, Medium Shot, Medium Long Shot and Extreme Long Shot on each Episodes and categorized by scene. Scene is used to facilitate the researcher to explain the various composition of types of shots used, where later types of shots are presented in tabular form as a guide for discussion of the narrative context. Web series ads are played repeatedly on every episode, every scene, up to each shot, so the author can collect the data accurately. This study uses increased persistence as a way to test or check the validity of data obtained during observations. From the data mapping results, the writer concludes that not all of the 7 basic types of shots are used on each episode of ÔÇ£AXElerate The SeriesÔÇØ. The writer also finds that the ÔÇ£AXElerate The SeriesÔÇØ pattern uses extreme long shots at the beginning of each brand ambassador's episode. Types of shots most widely used on ÔÇ£AXElerate The SeriesÔÇØ is the medium shot. The application of a medium shot that is predominantly applied to the product placement, making AXE web series advertising on ÔÇ£AXElerate the seriesÔÇØ selling products with soft selling approach.
