Education in the 21st century demands various skills that must be mastered by each individual including critical thinking communication collaboration and creativity skills. Creative thinking skills are one of the demands of the six dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile in the Merdeka curriculum that must be met and are very important in chemistry learning. The creative thinking skills of Indonesian students currently tend to be low. One of the causes of the low creative thinking skills of students is that the learning model used has not been directed at the development of creative thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of differentiated learning based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) on hydrocarbon material on students creative thinking skills. The research design used was a quasi-experiment using an experimental class (differentiated learning based on Problem Based Learning (PBL)) and a control class (Problem Based Learning (PBL)) with a posttest-only design with nonequivalent groups. The results of the study showed that there was a significant effect of differentiated learning based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) on hydrocarbon material on students creative thinking skills. This can be seen from the creativity of the results of students final assignments which are diverse.
