The learning methods is a way of or technique in which work is done teachers in hold a relationship with students on activities du ring learning. The problems that emerged during teaching history held is less active contribution students . Teachers still rely on a method of talk in for the delivery of material in teaching history so does not make students active contribute for learning held . With the implementation of a method of lectures on class XII multimedia SMK Shala huddin 2 Malang indicating of the activeness students in learning activities very low. Teachers still have not been able to to choose right methods to make students a ctive. The purpose of this research is to assess the brainstorming method to increase activeness of the students in teaching history in multimedia XII class SMK Shalahuddin 2 Malang. Researchers discuss regarding the development of political social econo my on the liberal democracy is adjusted with matter that were discussed. This research can be considered as Classroom Action Research (CAR). Research model used is the model spiral research the act of class of kemmis and taggart involving planning implementation observation and reflection. By using a model spiral kemmis and taggart this Researchers trying to get a response from multimedia XII class SMK Shalahuddin 2 Malang before and after research in the implementation of brainstorming method. Based on the results of the analysis the data that has been obtaine d When pre the act of the activeness students only around 49 05 % the students who were very active only 1 people and students who are active 4 people out of 21 people. In cycle 1 level ac tiveness students increased to 54 54 % with details students who were very active 2 people and students who are active as many as 7 people of the total 22 people. Then in cycle 2 level activeness stud ents are very increased to 69 55 % with details students who were very active about 3 people and students who are active 13 people of the total 22 students. The conclusion of research is brainstorming method deserves to be a method of alternatives in learning activities who are able to increase activeness of th e students
