Kata kunci loop drive forehand latihan loop drive forehand dengan variasi irama Tenis Meja adalah permainan tenis yang menggunakan meja sebagai lapangan bola kecil dan raket sebagai pemukulnya atau juga sering disebut dengan bet. Salah satu keterampilan teknik dasar yang sering digunakan pada saat penyerangan dalam permainan tenis meja adalah loop drive forehand. Dari hasil observasi awal didapatkan persentase tingkat keberhasilan teknik dasar loop drive forehand atlet PTM Makota Kota Malang U-15 pada tahap awal 64 44 % tahap pelaksanaan 46 67% dan tahap akhir (gerak lanjutan) 57 78%. Data tersebut menunjukan bahwa atlet masih melakukan banyak kesalahan. Oleh karena itu diperlukan suatu alternatif pemecahan salah satunya dengan menggunakan latihan teknik loop drive forehand menggunakan variasi irama Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperbaiki kelemahan dalam melakukan teknik dasar loop drive forehand yang terjadi pada klub PTM Makota Kota Malang atlet U-15. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan olahraga dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian tindakan olahraga ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan 2 siklus dan setiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu (1) perencanaan (2) pelaksanaan (3) pengamatan (observasi) dan (4) refleksi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 15 atlet PTM Makota Kota Malang U-15. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan keterampilan atlet dalam melakukan loop drive forehand setelah dilakukan latihan teknik loop drive forehand menggunakan variasi irama. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam 2 siklus yaitu 3 minggu dengan sembilan pertemuan di siklus I dan 3 minggu dengan sembilan pertemuan di siklus II. Tingkat keberhasilan atlet pada siklus I dari observasi awal menuju pertemuan ke-1 sampai pertemuan ke-3 minggu pertama pertemuan ke-4 sampai pertemuan ke-6 minggu kedua pertemuan ke-7 sampai pertemuan ke-9 minggu ketiga untuk tahap awalan (1) posisi kaki 80% di observasi awal 93 33% di minggu pertama dan 100% di minggu selanjutnya (2) posisi tubuh 73 33% di observasi awal 86 67 di minggu pertama dan 100% di minggu selanjutnya (3) posisi lengan dan bet 40% di observasi awal 60% di minggu pertama 66 67% di minggu kedua dan 80% di minggu ketiga. Tahap pelaksanaan (1) gerakan tubuh 33 33% di observasi awal 46 67% di minggu pertama 60% di minggu kedua dan 66 67% di minggu ketiga (2) impact bet dan bola 20% di observasi awal 40% di minggu pertama 60% di minggu kedua dan 66 67% di minggu ketiga (3) swing/ayunan tangan 86 67% di observasi awal tetap 86 67 di minggu pertama dan 100% di minggu selanjutnya. Tahap akhir (1) gerakan lanjutan lengan dan tangan 86 67% di observasi awal dan 100% di minggu selanjutnya (2) gerakan lanjutan tubuh 33 33% di observasi awal 46 67% di minggu pertama 60% di minggu ke dua dan 66 67% di minggu ketiga (3) arah bola 53 33% di observasi awal 66 67% di minggu pertama 80% di minggu kedua dan tetap 80% di minggu ketiga. Pada siklus II tingkat keberhasilan atlet pada siklus pertemuan ke-1 sampai pertemuan ke-3 minggu pertama pertemuan ke-4 sampai pertemuan ke-6 minggu kedua pertemuan ke-7 sampai pertemuan ke-9 minggu ketiga untuk tahap awalan (1) posisi kaki konsisten 100% (2) posisi tubuh konsisten 100% (3) posisi lengan dan bet 93 33% di minggu pertama dan 100% di minggu selanjutnya. Tahap pelaksanaan (1) gerakan tubuh 80% di minggu pertama 93 33% di minggu kedua dan 100% di minggu ketiga (2) impact bet dan bola 86 67% di minggu pertama tetap 86 67% di minggu kedua dan 93 33% di minggu ketiga (3) swing/ayunan tangan konsisten 100%. Tahap akhir (1) gerakan lanjutan lengan dan tangan konsisten 100% (2) gerakan lanjutan tubuh 80% di minggu pertama dan 100% di minggu kedua (3) arah bola 100% dan konsisten di minggu selanjutnya. Kesimpulannya adalah dengan menggunakan latihan teknik loop drive forehand dengan variasi irama dapat meningkatkan keterampilan teknik dasar loop drive forehand atlet PTM Makota U-15. This research is a sports action with a descriptive approach qualitative and quantitative descriptive. Sports action research was conducted using two cycles and each cycle consists of four phases (1) planning (2) implementation (3) observation and (4) reflection. Subjects in this research were 15 athletes PTM Makota Malang U-15. Results of this research showed an increase in the skills of athletes in performing forehand loop drive after technical training forehand loop drive using variations of rhythm. This study was conducted in two cycles ie 3 weeks with nine meetings in the first cycle and 3 weeks with nine meetings in the second cycle.
