This study aims to explain the various roles of the youth of the Kartika Puri dance studio in preserving the art of Reog Ponorogo identify the inhibiting and supporting factors in efforts to preserve the art of Reog Ponorogo and analyze the preservation strategy carried out by the Kartika Puri studio. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection methods in the form of interviews observations and documentation. Data analysis techniques include the stages of data reduction data presentation and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that there is a role of youth in the preservation of the art of Reog Ponorogo including through the implementation of routine training routinely participating in events and promotional activities carried out in various media. In addition the results of the study also show that there are supporting and inhibiting factors in the preservation of Reog Ponorogo art in the Kartika Puri studio. In this study it was also found about the strategies that have been carried out by the Kartika Puri studio in its efforts to preserve the art of Reog Ponorogo including the following interesting training innovation in Reog performances. Holding interesting promotions appearing in various existing art events and collaborating with external parties in order to preserve the art of Reog Ponorogo.
