Abstract

Crawl style in swimming is known as a style that allows swimmers to glide faster compared to other swimming styles. So gliding is a crucial first step to maintaining body balance and maximizing speed in the water before continuing with proper arm leg and breathing techniques. Based on the results of interviews/observations crawl style gliding skills in Lamongan Swimming School or LSS course participants are still relatively low. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of play-based learning on crawl style gliding skills in Lamongan Swimming School course participants. This research uses an experimental method with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data collection with a sample size of 15 students. Both pretest and post-test use an instrument namely the crawl style gliding skill test. Based on the results of the Paired Sample T-Test Test on the pretest and post-test on the crawl style gliding technique it shows a significance value (0.016) lt alpha (0.05) so it is concluded that there is a significant effect after being given training with play-based learning of crawl style gliding skills on beginner participants of Lamongan Swimming School.
