Critical thinking skills are essential in vocational education but are often hindered by weak self-leadership and ineffective time management. This study aims to investigate the relationship between internal factors including self-leadership and time management and students critical thinking skills. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was employed to analyze data from 83 tenth-grade students in the Machining Technology program at SMK Negeri 1 Blitar who were selected through proportional random sampling. The questionnaire instrument underwent validity and reliability testing. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 26 with classical assumption tests and multiple correlation analysis. The results indicate that self-leadership has a moderate positive correlation with critical thinking (r 0.521) as does time management (r 0.448). Simultaneously both variables show a stronger correlation (R 0.556). These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening internal factors in vocational education design to enhance students critical thinking skills.
