Abstract

This study aims to develop an outdoor learning approach as an innovative strategy in accounting learning to improve student learning outcomes. The development model used is ADDIE which includes five stages analysis design development implementation and evaluation. The research subjects were students of grade XI AK 2 of SMK Negeri 12 Malang. The resulting product is an outdoor learning implementation guideline based on experiential learning theory. The validation results by experts indicate that the product is classified as Very Valid and is suitable for use. The paired samples t-test and independent samples t-test showed a significance value of lt 0.05 which means there is a significant difference between the experimental and control classes. These results prove that the outdoor learning approach is effective in improving learning outcomes in the material of financial accounting journaling of government institutions/agencies.
