This study aims to examine the implementation and students rsquo interest in dance extracurricular activities at SMPN 1 Ngimbang including students rsquo attention enjoyment learning awareness and activeness during the dance learning process. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method with students participating in the dance extracurricular as the research subjects and the instructors serving as key informants. Data collection techniques included observation interviews and documentation to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the learning process student participation and responses. The results indicate that the dance extracurricular was implemented in a structured and gradual manner using demonstration drill and group work methods enabling students to fully understand the movements expressions and meanings of the dances. Students showed high interest reflected in their focused attention during practice enjoyment and enthusiasm for the activities consistent learning awareness and active participation and collaboration with peers. The dance extracurricular not only enhances technical skills and cultural appreciation but also develops students rsquo character including discipline self-confidence responsibility and social skills.
