This research developed a learning media in the form of an interactive storybook entitled Vege Nutrition Series (VANESA) as an educational medium on the benefits of vegetables for children aged 4 ndash 5 years. The background of the study is the low consumption of vegetables in early childhood which has an impact on nutritional and growth problems. Data from the Indonesian Health Survey (2023) shows that most children aged 5 ndash 9 years have not met their vegetable intake. Observations at Siti Chodidjah Kindergarten also show the dominance of instant food and lack of interest in vegetables. Referring to Piaget s cognitive theory and Bandura s theory of social learning children at the age of 4 ndash 5 are at a pre-operational stage that allows them to learn through pictures and stories. Therefore the researcher designed an interactive storybook with simple open-close paste-and-paste and pop-up features to attract children s interest in vegetables. This book is divided into 3 story series each of which introduces one type of vegetable (spinach tomato chicory) through an interesting storyline and simple processed recipes. The research method used is Research and Development (R amp D) with the ADDIE (Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluation) model. The validation test was carried out by media experts material experts and practitioners and was piloted on small and large groups. The results of the study show that VANESA interactive book media is very feasible and effective to be used as an interesting educational medium to introduce the benefits of vegetables to children aged 4 ndash 5 years.
