Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Play Dough Corner to stimulate fine motor skills in early childhood at TK Muslimat NU 32 Malang. The background of the study is rooted in the importance of fine motor stimulation as a foundation for children s basic skills in daily activities and school readiness. However there remains a gap between theoretical fine motor development and its practical implementation in the field particularly in the use of engaging and concrete learning media. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using observation interviews and documentation as data collection methods. The findings reveal that the Play Dough Corner is systematically and thematically integrated into classroom learning activities. Children engage in squeezing rolling pressing and shaping dough which effectively enhances fine motor skills such as hand-eye coordination finger strength and persistence. Teachers play an active role as facilitators who provide stimulation guidance and support throughout the play process. The study concludes that the Play Dough Corner is an effective and enjoyable learning strategy to develop fine motor skills in early childhood through meaningful and child-centered play based learning.
