The classroom learning model which remains teacher-centered and theoretical in nature is a major factor causing students grades to not fully reflect their critical thinking abilities. This study aims to analyze the influence of the Project Based Learning model on differences in students critical thinking skills in the context of geography subjects for Grade XI students at MA Bilingual Kota Batu. Project Based Learning is an educational model that introduces independent learning by engaging students in real-world projects. In this study a quantitative method was used with data collected through a post-test technique. The research subjects included two classes an experimental class taught using the Project Based Learning model and a control class taught using a conventional learning model. The results of this study show that the Project Based Learning model significantly affects students amp 39 critical thinking skills where the experimental class utilizing Project Based Learning demonstrated higher critical thinking abilities compared to the control class using the conventional learning model. This study highlights the advantages of the Project Based Learning model particularly in its second syntax which is project planning. The second indicator of critical thinking skills namely the ability to present arguments was found to be superior compared to the others.
