This study was motivated by the decline in students final grades in manual technical drawing subjects and the decline in participation in the Student Competency Competition (LKS) especially in the DPIB department of SMKN 11 Malang. This decline indicates a decline in learning performance and student engagement which needs to be studied more deeply from a psychological perspective. The purpose of this study is to understand the description of discipline perfectionism and procrastination of class X DPIB students at SMKN 11 Malang and to examine the influence of discipline and perfectionism on procrastination in completing manual technical drawing assignments. The approach used in this study is quantitative approach with ex post facto method. The analysis technique used was multiple linear regression to see the effect of two independent variables (discipline and perfectionism) on one dependent variable (procrastination). The research subjects consisted of X DPIB class students with data collection techniques through a Likert scale questionnaire. The research instrument has been tested for validity and reliability before use. The results of regression analysis show that simultaneously discipline and perfectionism have a significant effect on procrastination with a coefficient of determination (R sup2 ) of .289 or a contribution of 29.8% which is included in the medium relationship category. However partially neither discipline nor perfectionism has a significant effect on procrastination with a coefficient value of 0.249 and 0.269 respectively which is categorized as a weak and moderate relationship. This finding suggests the possibility of a suppressor effect which is a condition when two variables that are not partially significant produce a significant effect when combined simultaneously. This study also confirms the importance of an integrated approach in addressing student procrastination to improve the quality of education as mandated in Ministry of Education and Culture Regulation No. 34/2018 on National Vocational Standards. This research contributes to the development of learning strategies that consider students psychological aspects especially in improving discipline and managing perfectionism so that it does not have a negative impact. It is expected that the results of this study can be taken into consideration for schools teachers and further researchers in designing interventions to reduce procrastination behavior in the vocational education environment.
