Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of role stressors on academic burnout through academic stress and the role of resilience in moderating the influence of academic stress on academic burnout. The theoretical framework used in this study is Psychological Stress and Coping Theory. The population and sample in this study were Accounting Education Students at the State University of Malang. This study applies a quantitative design through a cross-sectional survey method. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires and analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using Smart PLS 4 which supports measuring the moderation effect. This study found that the role of resilience as a moderating variable in the influence of academic stress on academic burnout could not be proven this indicates that resilience is not effective as a coping strategy in reducing academic burnout. Role stressors have a significant positive influence on academic burnout role stressors have a significant positive influence on academic stress academic stress has a significant positive influence on academic burnout indirectly academic stress can significantly mediate the influence of role stressors on academic burnout with a partial mediation category. The benefits of this study are to provide input to educational institutions to design and implement intervention programs that support the development of resilience in students.
