In the midst of the development of the digital era prospective educators are required to master pedagogical competencies and digital literacy to face the dynamics of today s education. Pedagogical competence contributes to the success of the learning process while digital literacy skills enable effective utilization of technology in teaching activities. This study is to explore and find out the influence of pedagogical competence and digital literacy on students readiness to carry out their roles as professional educators. Descriptive quantitative approach as the method data collection by distributing questionnaires to 202 education students at the Faculty of Economics and Business State University of Malang class of 2021. Analyzing the results using SmartPLS 4 software it is known that pedagogical competence has a positive and significant effect on readiness to become a teacher digital literacy has a positive and significant effect on readiness to become a teacher. Together the two variables are weakly classified as readiness to become a teacher. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening pedagogical competence and mastering digital literacy in order to form prospective teachers who are professional and responsive to technological developments in education.
