Abstract

Critical thinking and interpersonal intelligence are crucial needs in education that can be improved through the use of interactive learning media and the application of appropriate learning models. This study aims to implement the PBL learning model assisted by Battle of Mind gamification and analyze the activities of teachers and students and the development of critical thinking and interpersonal intelligence of students before and after implementation. This type of research is Classroom Action Research implemented in class X MPLB 2 SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Singosari on the elements of Job Profiles / Professions and Business Opportunities in the MPLB Field. Qualitative data analysis in the form of interview results documentation and field notes. While quantitative data analysis in the form of post-test results and questionnaires analyzed by percentage techniques. The results showed that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Battle of Mind gamification was well implemented in accordance with the five syntaxes of PBL reflected in the activities of teachers and students that took place effectively during learning and was characterized by increased critical thinking and interpersonal intelligence of students. For further development the active involvement of learners needs to be continuously improved then for teachers it is advisable to attend training because they are not used to implementing PBL assisted by gamification. And further researchers are expected to simplify the media to make it easier to use.
