Motivation is one of the important factors that can influence students in their learning process. The position of motivation according to Kompri (2019) is as a motivator for students in their learning and a guide to their behavior. This study aims to describe the motivation of grade VIII students towards using the Quizizz application in the material on relations and functions in the Teman Belajar tutoring. The method used is qualitative with descriptive analysis. Qualitative data were obtained from questionnaires on Google Form and direct interviews. The questionnaire data contains 7 closed questions with answer choices 1-4 as a measure of the level of agreement. The results of the questionnaire are used as supporting data. The results show that students prefer to learn in traditional ways such as learning from books rather than using Quizizz even though this application provides them with the enthusiasm to learn.
