Abstract

The lack of student motivation to learn mathematics encourages the need for innovation with learning media. This research was carried out with the aim of finding out the effect of implementing Quizizz in terms of student learning motivation especially in the material linear equations with one variable. Quizizz was chosen because it is interactive competitive and can encourage student participation. The method used in this research is a case study with a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subjects consisted of three junior high school students selected by purposive sampling. Data collection in this research was carried out through questions on Quizizz learning motivation questionnaires and interviews. To measure the success of learning motivation researchers are guided by the aspects developed by John M. Keller namely ARCS (attention relevance confidence and satisfaction). From the research results it can be concluded that the use of Quizizz in learning mathematics with linear equations with one variable material has a positive influence on student learning motivation.
