Early childhood character education is an important part of the education of children aged 4-6 years. According to Lickona (1991) character education includes three main components knowledge (what is right) feelings (what is good) and actions (what to do). According to Lewis character is someone who has positive traits such as honesty caring fairness and mutual respect. The purpose of pre-service scouts is as an activity to introduce children to scouting values such as character development physical independent skills cooperation in order to form children into individuals who are tough disciplined love the country and have an attitude of chivalry and solidarity from an early age through direct experience. The research design used in this study is descriptive quantitative. The sample was 30 aged 4-6 years who participated in extracurricular scouting in Batu City State Pembina Kindergarten. data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Data tests were carried out by testing validity reliability homogeneity normality and finally the t-test using SPPS. The t-test results show a significance value of 0.001 lt 0.05 which means that there is an effect of extracurricular scouting on character education for children aged 4-6 years at TK Negeri Pembina Batu City. It is recommended that PAUD institutions can maintain continue and improve Prasiaga Scouting activities routinely and structured because it is proven to support the formation of positive characters in early childhood such as discipline responsibility self-confidence love for the country and cooperation of children from an early age.
