p Introduction Measles is an infectious disease whose suspected case finding rate is increasing from year to year. One of the factors that can influence the discovery of suspects prevention and control of measles is the performance of the surveillance system. Therefore it is necessary to conduct an evaluation to determine the success of the program and to determine effective and efficient disease prevention and control measures. This study aims to determine the implementation of measles surveillance system in the input process and output components. Methods This study was a descriptive qualitative study with an evaluation research design. The research was conducted in Batu City with data collection using primary data and secondary data related to the measles surveillance system using in-depth interview techniques observation and document review. The research sample was determined using purposive sampling method with criteria determined by the researcher. The research data were analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques with triangulation methods. Results This study found that there are still weaknesses in the implementation of the measles surveillance system at the Batu City Health Office namely in the process component precisely in the activities of collecting and sending specimens recording and reporting data analysis and technical assistance. /p
