p Communication problems between deaf people and the general public remain a major challenge due to the limitations of the Sign Language System Indonesia (SIBI) translator. As a result interactions between the two parties often experience barriers reducing accessibility for deaf people in various aspects of life. This research aims to develop and test the TRANS-SIBI device an accelerometer and electromyography (EMG) sensor-based SIBI translator combined with the K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) method to improve translation accuracy. The test results show that this device is able to recognize cues with an accuracy rate of up to 98%. In addition the device is equipped with a mobile application that features Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) to support real-time communication. TRANS-SIBI is powered by a 3500 mAh lithium-ion battery allowing for 2 hours and 20 minutes of use with a charging time of 2 hours. With this technology TRANS-SIBI is expected to be an inno-vative solution that enhances inclusive communication for deaf people. /p
