Abstract

p Djojo Plastic Store is a business engaged in the sale of various types of plastics and packaging. Currently the inventory recording system is still carried out manually which often leads to inaccuracies in stock management such as overstocking that can result in losses. To address this issue efficient stock management is needed. Proper stock management is crucial for smooth business operations as it helps business owners avoid unnecessary costs. The implementation of a web-based inventory recording system provides an effective solution to replace manual records making data management more organized efficient and accessible. In addition to stock management sales forecasting also plays an important role especially for businesses with unstable sales patterns. Forecasting is the process of using past data to predict future conditions which can help determine the amount of purchases for the upcoming period and serve as a basis for planning. One method that can be used is the Trend Moment Method which transforms historical data patterns into a trend line using statistical and mathematical approaches. The trend can be positive if it shows growth or negative if it indicates a decline. This research aims to apply the Trend Moment Method to forecast sales at Djojo Plastic Store through a web-based (desktop) system which will be tested using Black Box Testing and usability testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. MAPE values will be calculated to validate the Trend Moment method and APE to measure the accuracy level of the forecasting results. The results of this study show that the forecasting is categorized as accurate (MAPE) for the item GM 7 Plastic Cup and very accurate for Small HD PB Indonesian Plastic Bag. The accuracy level is also classified as accurate for GM 7 Plastic Cup and very accurate for Small HD PB Indonesian Plastic Bag based on a comparison between the actual sales data and the forecasting results for January 2025. /p
