p ldquo Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening rdquo is one of Robert Frost rsquo s poems published in 1923 in the New Hampshire poetry collection. Previous studies on this poem have explored the stylistic figurative language new historical and others but only a few from the perspective of ecocriticism and not explained in detail. Therefore in this study I will conduct an ecocritical analysis using Lawrence Buell rsquo s theory to determine its environmental orientation. Knowing that this poem is related to the environment it has meaning in reflecting and shaping how society understands and relates to nature. In order to determine its environmental orientation the analysis will be carried out in four categories namely Non-human Environment Is not only a Background Non-human Desire Ethical Orientation and Non-static Environment. /p
