Assertive skills are an important aspect in students social development especially in building effective and confident communication. However many students still have difficulty in being assertive which can have an impact on their social interactions and academic achievement. This study aims to develop a biblioeducational guide as an intervention media to improve students assertive skills at SMPN 1. The development of the guide was carried out using the Borg amp Gall 1983 research and development (R amp D) model with five main stages namely research and information gathering planning initial product development limited trials and product revision. This study uses an assessment format from expert tests and prospective users. Numerical data from material expert tests media expert tests prospective BK teacher user tests were analyzed using inter-rater agreement while the assessment results from student readability tests were analyzed using the average. while verbal data were obtained from suggestions from material expert tests media expert tests prospective BK teacher users and readability tests on students which were analyzed using descriptive analysis. Based on the assessment of material experts media experts prospective users of biblioeducational guides and media to improve assertive skills they obtained a score of 1.00 which is included in the very high validity classification. Then for the results of the student readability test assessment they got an average score of 3.8 which is included in the very feasible interpretation. It can be concluded that this guide and media are accepted and feasible to be used as an alternative biblioeducational guidance media to improve assertive skills.
