p This research focuses on finding the interpretive meaning of the lyrics of the song Backburner by Nicole Zefanya. This lyric analysis aims to provide rich multidisciplinary insight into culture literature music. The Semiotic Approach is used in this article to carry out a comprehensive textual analysis of Backburner song lyrics by Nicole Zefanya. This study looks more deeply at the structural relationship between the interpretation of song lyrics and the meaning underlying the lyrics of the song Backburner using Ogden and Richards theory of meaning. By applying the science of interpretation research was carried out on the lyrics of the song entitled Backburner the results of this research stated that the meaning contained in each lyric of this song is the dominant denotational meaning and is followed by the connotative meaning in several lines of the sentence. /p
