p The current study aims to explain the different types of code-mixing used on Ishowspeed s YouTube videos and the reasons for using code-mixing. This study applied descriptive qualitative to describe the utterances that contain types of code-mixing on Ishowspeed s Youtube videos. The researchers collected data by noting each utterance using a conversation analysis approach containing code mixes from the twenty-two videos that had been watched. This research adopts Hoffman s (1991) theory related to the types and reasons for the use of code-mixing. By taking 90 sample data the results of this study show four types of code-mixing intra-word mixing (63%) intra-sentential mixing (19%) intersentential mixing (13%) and tag-mixing (5%). Furthermore there are six reasons for using code-mixing namely expressing group identity interjection being emphatic about something talking about a particular topic repetition used for clarification and quoting somebody else. /p
