The development of technology has given numerous breakthroughs to education one of which is the use of videos in teaching reading. YouTube as an online platform is seen prominent to be implemented in the classroom especially for elementary school learners. This study investigated the effect of YouTube as a supplementary reading source for elementary school learners as well as their attitudes towards the use of it. The students who used YouTube as their supplementary reading source improve their reading achievement better than those who did not. Furthermore the students showed positive attitudes towards the use of it.
