This study is conducted to investigate the effectiveness of implementing ELSA Speak in improving seventh-grade students rsquo pronunciation. There have been previous studies done in this field involving university students who have distinct learning characteristics. This study is unique as it utilizes the application for junior high school students or young learners who have different characteristics compared to adult learners. It was conducted using a pre-test and post-test quasi-experimental design and involved two intact groups consisting of 40 seventh-grade students 20 students were in the control group and the other 20 students were in the experimental group. For the treatment the experimental group learned pronunciation for four weeks using the application. Having collected the data and analyzed it using a paired samples t-test it was found that the students who used the application in their learning process gained significant improvement in their pronunciation as indicated by the significantly higher post-test scores. ELSA Speak is therefore recommended as an alternative application for English teachers to teach pronunciation to junior high school students.
