Abstract

As a part of forensic linguistics this forensic graphology study of Akseyna rsquo s mysterious suicide notes aimed to determine its originality. To reach the aim the handwriting comparison between the suicide notes and Akseyna rsquo s handwritten document was applicated. Results showed a few corrections and different handwriting patterns in the suicide notes. These differences indicated that the suicide notes were not entirely written by Akseyna himself. In other words someone was intentionally meddled in and made a bit change in the handwriting. Along with handwriting comparison a lexical density analysis had also been done to measure the ratio of lexical items to grammatical items. Lexical items consist of nouns adjectives verbs and some adverbs. These items were chosen based on the handwritten words that were detected to be similar to Akseyna rsquo s handwriting. According to the lexical density measurement formula the ratio of the total numbers of lexical items and the total number of words in the written suicide notes showed that the suicide notes were 68 75% originally written by Akseyna. That means that the other 31.25% was unoriginal.
