The primary data area ll dialoguesf rom the screenplay whichi ncludes entencesu tterancesa nd expressionsa nd the Indonesians ubtitlest aken frorn the film. The whole data are entirely taken without being cut down on sample to maketh ea nalysims orev alid. The analysis is done firstly by collecting the sentencesc ontaining message deviatinegr rorst hrougha ll observedit ems.N ext the errorsf ound are classifiedi nto two categorie(sl exicon and grammar) a nd then the effors are tallied and counted into frequencya nd percentageA. fterwards the errors are described.I n this analysis t he researchearls o suggeststh e improvementsto the translatione lrors. lhe next analysisi s doneto find out the quality of the objectt ranslationb y finding the correcti temso ut of the wholeo bservedit ems. Fromt he analysisa nde valuationi t is foundo ut that (1). For lexical types errors the finding shows that errors in diction (choice of words) are the most fatal errors among the three types of lexical errors including diction reference andi diom. This consequentlyd i stortst he intendedm essagea nd doesn ot transfert he messagpee rfectly. (2). For grammatical types errors the finding shows that errors in syntax are the most seriouse rrorsi n grammars incet he translatori nability of restructuringta rgetl anguage sentencere ally affectst he original messageC. omparedt o syntax e rrors in function word andm orphologya ren ot obviousi n distortingt he message. (3).The quality of the Indonesian subtitles in this study is considered poor since the uneroneousit emsf oundi n the dataa nalysisis low.
